Falling out of the top-25: Pittsburgh (17), Georgia Tech (18), Florida Atlantic (25).

Newcomers: Northwestern (20), North Carolina State (21), Troy (25).

Notes since last week:

  • I’m not sure who to believe in the Sun Belt Conference. With Florida Atlantic’s loss at home to North Texas, I’m going back to Troy as my pick, with Middle Tennessee as a close second.
  • Texas lost badly in a game they should have easily won.
  • Arkansas lost a close game against #2 Alabama.
  • South Carolina lost by 8 at Auburn.
  • Pittsburgh got hammered, 31-3 by the University of Miami.
  • Georgia Tech lost badly to North Carolina State.
  • Temple played Penn State well, and moves up despite the loss.
