Ball State women’s basketball wrap-up

January 21, 2010

Led by 24 points from Cassie Schrock, 20 points from Tavelyn James, and a double double from Paige Redditt, the Eagles defeated Ball State 64-54 last night at the Convocation Center. The 54 points marked Ball State’s worst offensive performance of the season, coming on a 34.9% shooting average and a 15.8% 3-point average. Beyond the first two minutes Ball State never led, and the Eagles were well in command of the game throughout the second half.

With this win, the Eagles advance to 14-3 and take the MAC West lead at 4-1, a half game ahead of Toledo. Their next game will be this Saturday at 2 pm, in an important cross-divisional game at Bowling Green, whose 15-4 (5-0) record puts them at the top of the MAC East.
